The EU-funded project EmpowerUs is about making coastal communities resilient, inclusive and sustainable in the face of future challenges.

Coastal communities face many challenges, including extreme weather events due to climate change, increased pressures from urban development and tourism, and changes in traditional and cultural expressions. In the face of such a myriad of changing challenges, it can be difficult to adapt. Based on the recognition that such complex challenges require complex, integrated solutions. EmpowerUs will support coastal communities in creating complex, integrated and flexible solutions to support their transition to more sustainable, inclusive and resilient coastal development.
