INDIGO will increase the capacity for green innovation and transformation and develop new value chains in the mineral, process, energy and goods-producing industries in Helgeland.

Given Helgeland's central role within these industries, the region is central to achieving the EU's Green Growth Strategy, the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, the goal of growth in all regions, and Nordland County Municipality's strategy for smart specialization.
