Camilla Risvoll works with interdisciplinary research within resource management, sustainability, change processes and climate adaptation in local communities, local participation, and the use and protection of land and marine resources.

Risvoll has a PhD in sociology. She has a master's degree in international environmental studies from Noragric, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Life Sciences at Ås. She holds a Bachelor's and Honours degree in Environmental Management from the University of Queensland, Australia.
