Education and work experience

Maiken Bjørkan works particularly with interdisciplinary research on knowledge production, resource management and local participation. Other key words are industry, climate adaptation, marine protected areas, the cultural and experience industry and bioprospecting.

PhD in fisheries management from the Norwegian School of Fisheries. Master in international fisheries management from the Norwegian School of Fisheries. Major in social anthropology from UiB. Cand. mag. from UiB and BI.
