Nordland Research Institute will contribute to a more sustainable society and therefore takes responsibility for our environmental impact. An important part of the work is to be Miljøfyrtårn -certified.
This means that we have established an environmental management system that governs our climate and environmental work and helps us with continuous improvement. The certification also contains specific requirements that must be met within the working environment, waste/reuse, energy, purchasing and transport. Every year we report figures for our activities that result in a climate account, as well as results and statistics. This information provides a good overview of progress and improvement potential, and is made publicly available.

Part of Miljøfyrtårn -certification is about the interaction between business and society. Therefore, customers, partners and other stakeholders are invited to provide input on how the climate and environmental impact of our products/services can be improved.
