SocialShip - spørreundersøkelser
Utdypende informasjon om personvern knyttet til data som samles inn gjennom spørreundersøkelser i forbindelse med forskningsprosjektet SocialShip.

Spørreundersøkelsene handler om det sosiale arbeidsmiljøet på norske fiskefartøy, laste- og passasjerskip. To spørsmål står sentralt: (1) Hvordan opplever fiskere og sjøfolk det sosiale arbeidsmiljøet om bord på fartøyet sitt? (2) Hva er faktorene som påvirker det sosiale arbeidsmiljøet om bord?
Spørreundersøkelsene er en del av forskningsprosjektetSocialShip. Formålet med prosjektet er å bidra til økt kunnskap om hvordan man skaper et bedre arbeidsmiljø til sjøs.
Prosjektet ledes av Birgit Pauksztat, seniorforsker ved Nordlandsforskning. Partnere i prosjektet er Høgskulen på Vestlandet, UiT – Norges Arktiske Universitet, Havforskningsinstituttet og Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca (Italia). Prosjektet er finansiert av Norges Forskningsråd (prosjektnummer 352603).
Hvordan vi oppbevarer og bruker dine opplysninger
All data som samles inn som en del av prosjektet behandles konfidensielt.
Nordlandsforskning og Høgskulen på Vestlandet har felles behandlingsansvar for personopplysningene i prosjektet.
Det er kun prosjektteamet som har tilgang til personopplysningene. Prosjektteamet ledes av Birgit Pauksztat, seniorforsker ved Nordlandsforskning. Partnere i prosjektet er Høgskulen på Vestlandet, UiT – Norges Arktiske Universitet, Havforskningsinstituttet og Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca (Italia).
Datamaterialet vil bli anonymisert så fort som mulig; navn på enkeltpersoner og deltagende fartøy og organisasjoner vil bli erstattet med en kode som lagres på egen navneliste («kodenøkkel») adskilt fra øvrige data. Kodenøkkelen slettes ved prosjektslutt.
I analysene kombineres svarene fra spørreundersøkelsen med informasjon om rederiet og fartøyet. Resultatene fremlegges bl.a. gjennom presentasjoner, rapporter, undervisningsmateriell og vitenskapelige publikasjoner.
I rapporter, publikasjoner og presentasjoner benyttes data på en slik måte at det ikke er mulig å koble informasjonen til enkeltpersoner.
Hva gir oss rett til å behandle personopplysninger om deg?
Vi behandler opplysningene om deg til forskningsformål i allmennhetens interesse. På oppdrag fra Nordlandsforskning har personverntjenestene ved Sikt – Kunnskapssektorens tjenesteleverandør, vurdert at behandlingen av personopplysninger i dette prosjektet er i samsvar med personvernregelverket.
Hva skjer med personopplysningene dine når forskningsprosjektet avsluttes?
Prosjektet vil etter planen avsluttes den 30. september 2028.
Opplysningene vil bli anonymisert ved prosjektslutt, og de anonymiserte dataene arkiveres ved Nordlandsforskning for videre fremtidig forskning og undervisningsformål.
Dine rettigheter
Så lenge du kan identifiseres i datamaterialet, har du rett til å be om innsyn i dataene vi behandler om deg, be om at dataene blir rettet eller slettet, og til å protestere mot behandlingen. Hvis du kontakter oss for å utøve dine rettigheter, vil du høre fra oss senest innen en måned. Vi vil gi en forklaring hvis vi ikke kan identifisere deg eller hvis dine rettigheter ikke kan utøves. Du har også rett til å klage til Datatilsynet om hvordan vi behandler dine data.

SocialShip - Surveys
More information about the protection of personal data collected through surveys as part of the SocialShip project
The surveys are about the social work environment on Norwegian vessels today. Two questions are central: (1) How do fishers and seafarers experience the social work environment on their ship? (2) What are the key factors that shape the social work environment?
The surveys are part of the SocialShip research project. The aim of the project is to contribute to the knowledge needed to improve working lives at sea in the future. The project is led by the Nordland Research Institute (Norway). Project partners are the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (Norway), the Institute of Marine Research (Norway), UiT – The Arctic University of Norway (Norway) and the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy). The project is financed by the Research Council of Norway (grant no. 352603).
How we store and use your personal data
All the data that is collected as part of the project is treated confidentially.
The Nordland Research Institute (Nordlandsforskning AS) and the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences are jointly responsible for the processing of personal data as part of the project.
Only members of the project team can see your personal data. The project team is led by Birgit Pauksztat, Research Professor at the Nordland Research Institute (Norway). Project partners are the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (Norway), UiT – The Arctic University of Norway (Norway), the Institute of Marine Research (Norway) and the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy).
The data will be anonymized as soon as possible; the names of participating individuals, vessels and companies will be replaced by codes. The code key will be saved separately from the other data and will be deleted at the end of the project.
For the analyses, the information from the surveys will be combined with information about the company and the ship. The results will be presented for instance in presentations, reports, educational material and scientific publications.
In reports, publications and presentations of project findings, the information will be presented in such a way that it is not possible to trace the information back to specific individuals.
What gives us the right to process your personal data?
We process information about you for purposes related to scientific research, and because the research project is considered to be in the public interest. On behalf of the Nordland Research Institute, the Data Protection Services at SIKT (the Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research) have assessed that the processing of personal data in this project is in accordance with the privacy regulations.
What happens to your personal data when the project ends?
The project is expected to end on 30 September 2028.
At the end of the project, the data will be anonymized and archived for future use for research and education.
Your rights
As long as you can be identified in the collected data, you have the right to request to see the data that we are processing about you, request that the data is corrected or deleted, or protest against the processing of your data. You will hear from us within a month. We will provide an explanation if we cannot identify your data (e.g., if the data have already been anonymized) or if your rights cannot be exercised. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority regarding how we are processing your data.
